Summary:

T. A. Loving Company managed the renovation of Hanes Hall at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2007. Hanes Hall was originally built and completed in 1949. It is named for Robert March Hanes of Winston-Salem, NC. The project included demolition and renovation of the basement, first, third and fourth floors. New foundation waterproofing was applied and light wells were installed at 14 feet below grade. The roof and all windows were replaced. An inverted dormer was installed for the new air handling unit. In conjunction with the Hanes Hall project, T. A. Loving Company also waterproofed the basement of Phillips Hall and re-roofed Carroll Hall. To handle rain from the roof drains of these facilities, four 15,000 gallon cisterns were installed. Also special protection for "Heritage Trees" was provided by T. A. Loving Company.
