T. A. Loving's Linwood Smith Named Chairman of OSHA's Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH)


Ed Foulke, U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administrator, has announced the appointment of Linwood Smith as Chairman of OSHA's Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH). ACCSH is an advisory committee appointed by the Secretary of Labor to assist OSHA in construction safety and health matters. Mr. Smith is currently AGC's Safety & Health Committee Chairman and is employed with T. A. Loving Company in Goldsboro, NC, as Vice President of Risk Management & Safety.

The announcement was made during AGC's Safety & Health Committee meeting held last week in Denver, Colorado. More than 120 attended the meeting, including chapter safety staff and executives. Mr. Foulke also congratulated the association and its' members for improving safety within the industry and unveiled a nationwide Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) initiative aimed at meeting the unique needs and characteristics of the Construction Industry-Mobile Workforce VPP Demonstration for Construction.
