Raymond A. Bryan, Jr.

Raymond followed his father into the construction business and became President of T.A. Loving Company in 1969 and Chairman in 1988.
Sam Hunter
President and CEO

• M.S. In Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, 1967
• 3 years with the U. S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps
• 1 year active duty in Vietnam
Sam began his career with T.A. Loving Company in 1971 as a superintendent in the Bridge Division. Moved to Project Manager in the Utilities Division where he became Vice President of the Division. Sam became President in 1988. As President & CEO of T.A. Loving Company, his professional experience spans municipal & utilities construction, commercial building, and bridge/marine construction. He has also been active in the Associated General Contractor's of America. His service has included multiple leadership roles with the chapter and at national levels.
Steve Bryan
Vice President

He followed both his grandfather and father in the business by starting work as a field engineer. Steve currently serves on the Company's Board of Directors, the Salvation Army Advisory Board, and is the Past President of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wayne County.
J. Jerry Smith
Senior Vice President
Jerry started his career with T. A. Loving Company in September of 1967 as a rod man on a survey crew. He worked his way to superintendent and then project manager and became Utility Division Co-Manager in 1988. He is currently a Vice President and member of the Company's Board of Directors. Jerry's special expertise is in the area of pipe work and his responsibilities include bidding projects, purchasing, subcontracting and working with Donald Robinson to direct the operation of the Utility Division.
Ty Edmondson
Vice President & Assistant Division Manager, Utility Division

Ty is a Vice President with the responsibilities of Assistant Division Manager for the Utility Division. Ty started with us in 1989 and has spent his entire professional career at T. A. Loving Company. Ty's special expertise is in the area of water and wastewater treatment plants and his responsibilities include bidding projects, purchasing, subcontracting and assisting in the operation of the Utility Division. Ty also serves on the T. A. Loving Company Board of Directors.
Michael Richter
Senior Vice President
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with Construction Option from N. C. State University, 1982
Mike is a Senior Vice President with the responsibilities of Division Manager for the Building Division. Mike started with us in 1977, part time while in school, and has spent his entire professional career at T. A. Loving Company. His experience is quite diverse within the industry, but has extensive healthcare experience. He has been the lead on many of our healthcare projects having constructed over 1,000,000 square feet of healthcare facilities.
L. Wilson Twiford
Vice President
• Drafting, Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Control, and Surveying at Old Dominion University
Wilson has been in construction for approximately 42 years. His depth of knowledge, of the business comes from the hands-on approach he has taken with his personnel. His responsibilities range from the bidding process through project closeout. Wilson's biggest asset is his ability to work and communicate with people. Wilson also serves on the T.A. Loving Company Board of Directors.
Al Grisette
Chief Financial Officer
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with Construction Option from N. C. State University, 1971
Al joined T. A. Loving Company as CFO in March of 2001 after serving in a similar capacity for Franklin Baking Company of Goldsboro, NC and Carolina Turkeys of Mt. Olive, NC. Al is a CPA and holds Masters degrees in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, and City and Regional Planning.
